Family Dogs Tortured Empty Family Dogs Tortured

Post  Admin Wed Jan 27, 2010 12:35 pm

A BARGARA family is distraught after their two family dogs were tortured - and one sexually assaulted.
The dogs were found on Barrons Road, just outside Burnett Heads 9th November, 2009.
Veterinarian Tim Hill, who treated the dogs, said the Staffordshire bitch’s injuries were like nothing he had encountered in 15 years of practising.
The actions left Holly (the female dog) with the sort of bleeding and bruising that led the vet to believe this was not the result a dog fight, and possibly that of a sexual assault.
A report from the vet states Holly was presented to him with blood coming from multiple lacerations around the anus. There are lacerations on the outside lips of the vulva. There is bruising and lacerations internally to the lips of the vulva. Bruising on the inside of both upper lips.
“I see things every day, but this made me ill. I’ve never seen a presentation of injuries like this on any other animal in my 15 years.”
Her top lip had been punctured from her tooth, an indication of the force put upon her and the pain she must have endured.
Severe haemorrhaging meant that Holly needed a blood transfusion when she arrived at the Bundaberg Veterinary Clinic.
She was heavily medicated, constantly vomiting and in agony, before it was decided euthanasia was the kindest option.
Holly's 10-year-old counterpart had received cuts and bruising from a severe bashing.
Still carrying his war wounds, he is now afraid of the outdoors and constantly shakes.
The two pets had grown up with the family and their two children and had never been aggressive.
Bundaberg RSPCA shelter manager Vicki Beer said it is absolutely abhorrent, disgusting and feral. The people who did this are sick, but unless someone comes forward with information they will get away with it.”
PLEASE FORWARD INVITES TO ALL OF YOUR FRIENDS. THESE PEOPLE NEED TO BE CAUGHT.

The owners are offering a financial reward for any information, and Mrs Beer urged potential witnesses to telephone the RSPCA on 4155 1736.
