BSL (BREED SPECIFIC LEGISLATION)

Post  Admin on Tue Jul 06, 2010 1:18 pm

Today, in the United Kingdom, the Government has launched
a public website asking people to have their say on which
laws they would like to see repealed / reformed.

We are unashamedly asking for your support in calling on the
Government to end the practice of seizing family dogs as a
result of nothing more than what they happen to look like (BSL).

Did you know, a staggeringly high amount of seized dogs die
whilst in the 'care' of police? (ask our friends at DDAWatch
for the numbers, they are eye watering!)

Breed specific legislation hasn't protected the public from dog attacks.
It hasn't lead to more responsible dog ownership.
And it hasn't been anything other than a massive burden on the
tax payer and a complete abuse of fair, effective animal welfare
principles.

If you take this opportunity to just take 10 seconds to add your
say here
